Trampoline Comp at Ice in Christchurch

This news is a little late being announced, but the kids had to rush away from their comp to catch a plane, missing the medal ceremony. Trampoline trip to Christchurch

At the end of term 1, a group of trampolinists travelled down for a weekend to take part in a trampoline competition at Ice Trampoline in Rangiora, Christchurch.  As well as trampolining, we ate donuts, swam, played in playgrounds, and went rock climbing.  Awesome trip! Four of our Porirua kids had not competed on trampoline before, so entered in the 'recreational competition' levels.

Excel competition 6th April

Porirua Gymsports sent 7 gymnasts to the excel gymnastics comp held at Rimutaka gymsports.   All of them have been working hard all term towards this event, and have earned their great results.  Everyone got red / gold stars on their certificates. Welcome back from Nationals to all the 8 Porirua Gymsport athletes who attended the Natioanl Gymnastics Chamoionships in Tauranga in the school holidays. Gym Festival

On 15th September 13 members of Porirua gymsports attended the gymnastics festival  at Rimutaka gym club. A great time was had by all, and our gymnasts performed beautifully! There were lots of gold star performances. A few of our gymnasts were rewarded with medals for getting gold stars on every apparatus. Excel Competition

Last weekend Poirirua Gymsports had 14 gymnasts competing in an excel competition at Rimutaka gym.  There were many impressive performances, too many to list, but here are the highlights... Porirua medal in sports aerobics

Georgia Pittams, represented Porirua GymSports at an aerobics competition in New Plymouth on the 2-3rd June. She placed 4th after the heats and pulled out an awesome routine in the finals to finish in 3rd place in the Open Level 4, 15-17 yrs division. Georgia attained the required marks to qualify for Nationals in October, so she now needs to repeat the performance at
